Somewhere is the latest film from Sophia Coppola the visionary that brought us Lost in Translation.
Somewhere is about a hard-living Hollywood actor who re-examines his life after his 11-year-old daughter surprises him with a visit. Starring Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning this film will surely do for Chateau Marmot what Sophia's other movie did for Park Hyatt Tokyo.
The trailer (see below) is a mixture of all the things that make me froff about films. I have a thing for watching protagonists moping around in beautifully stunning locations, who slowly veer towards a journey of self discovery to a epically poignant soundtrack.
Add in the fact that Lost in Translation is one of my favourite films, my soft spot for LA and unequivocal love for all things Phoenix and you get the film I am most likely froth on about for the next few months. Be warned.
